Hearthstone Review

Great strategy game that may seem complex at first but quickly makes perfect sense. Great game.

Its magic the gathering app description complete.

Let us ask you this: What other strategic card game have you played that has 10+ classes with unique abilities, new cards coming out every other month, multiple game modes that is all Free 2 play? Plus you can only have 1-2 copies of cards in your deck. Less repetitiveness. Oh yeah and the game is BALANCED. The community is supportive vs. Endless toxic. As a 8 year & ongoing player who has legit played this game pretty much every week; it is a blessing. Yeah some games you get unlucky and RNG isnt in your favor, but overall the uniqueness, creativity, and balance of different game modes is why we always come back. This game is super chill but can also be very competitive; you can earn all your cards for free or pay for them. How patient are you? So yeah hearthstone is pretty awesome. You should build a deck, fight in the arena, get 1st in battlegrounds, make a cool combo happen, move up in the ranked games and see what its all about!

As a long time player of card gamesHearthstones Battlegrounds has unlimited replay ability. We were a Beta tester and am still playing 6 days a week. Literally love this gameOne of the coolest parts is all the content creators on Twitch that also playKripp and Dog to name a few. Keep it going Blizzard!

It a great game for passing the time it good for making quick decisions fast on your feet to get the win and it a good for deep thinking to out smart your opponents.

Love the game we’ve never spent a dime on this game and with the ability to get new packs for doing the daily and weekly tasks and breaking down cards you dont need or will use you can create missing cards that suit your play style.

We love this game. It is one of our favorite pass times. We’ve been playing for about 3yrs and havent had issues with it and if there is an issue blizzard is quick to fix it. They are also always updating and adding new things to keep it interesting.

During a game of battlegrounds, we saw his death animation ahead of time. He was displeased by the premature revelation of his defeat and is now rather cross. But its okay because its funny. Thank you, Blizzard.

We never leave 5 star reviews for any app/game. But this one deserves it. The tag line is so true, simple to play but very complex in its depth. The re-playability of this game is what sets it apart. Battlegrounds is our favorite mode, where the deck building isnt a concern and has enough variance and detail to make it both enjoyable and challenging.

Easy to pick up, hard to start if you want to be f2p but once you have at least one meta deck youre going to love the game.

The game is amazing and fun with tons of updates. But it cost too much to be anywhere good to go. New card packs which cost 60 dollars come out every few months and are needed to stay with the meta. A battle pass comes out every few months which is 20 but helps with the grind. If you aren’t dropping at least 1-200 a year on cards you can’t ever hold, trade, and the resell cost is absolutely abysmal you probably are just hanging out passing the time in the free to play battlegrounds which they’ll slowly creep into making you pay to win too.

The amount of updates gets annoying. Also they dont often update single player adventures. Like Rastakhans rumble. It would be really cool if you guys added more stuff like that. Im not really into playing against other people.

Its free to play but you wont get the cards you want to play for competitive rank you gotta save gold lots of it to get cards we recommend saving them for expansions ,expansions, expansions.

Battleground is the only part really worth playing unless youre cool with paying to win.

Hearthstone is a good card game overall however, a lot of people will troll and run the time out in the beginning instead of actually play out the first few rounds. Which after a while just makes you want to back out and quit because the point of this game is to battle it out. Also we just got a brand new IPhone however, sometimes after a match the screen will blur and the background loses color. Not to mention, sometimes the game loses connection even though we have full connection then either reloads or boots you completely from the game and forces you to reset the entire game. When Hearthstone first released you never would experience these problems however over the past years it has significantly gone down hill. Cool concepts however the only reason we still play is because we’ve played since day one and have had numerous accounts. Honestly though It doesnt take much to take time to maintenance a simple game properly and Im sure a lot of people would agree.

Listen we actually really love the Hearthstone content. Gameplay is great and the graphics are amazing. But if you want to get anywhere you have to pay a lot of money. The package for the card packs is 60 bucks. Paying for the pass is like 15.99. It makes the game just average. Be warned.

Amazing take on turn based card games. Unfortunately, ranked is pay to win. Yes, skill IS a major factor, but nobody is winning without plenty of top tier cards. Great job balancing otherwise.

Dead Blizzard, you seriously failed. Currently writing this as of 9/14/2021 and this is perhaps the most frustrating meta to date. As someone who plays two of the predominant game modes: wild and battlegrounds, it is currently the most unfun experience we have had to date. We warn anyone looking to start seek elsewhere as the current version of Heathstone is a serious turnoff. We uninstalled two days ago and we are already starting to feel so much better. 11/02/2021: Battlegrounds is a LITTLE better. Wild is 100% trash and a waste of time. Wild is plagued with Quest Hunter and Quest Warrior and their win rate has go be insane. Turn 5 quest complete and good luck winning after that. Not enough tools for other decks to survive. Avoid this trash game.

What could be a good game with solid design principles is ruined by greed and laziness. The matchmaking sytem is abysmal, most matches are either against afk bots or people blatantly hacking the game to cheat. When you occasionally are matched up against a human player, their deck is entirely composed of rare cards with broken combos that they paid for to have a huge advantage. We’ve always enjoyed card games and managed to fight our way up to gold 5 before being locked in by using free cards, so its not a lack of skill, its genuinely unbalanced and difficult to enjoy.

Like many others though, theyve drifted more and more towards pay based bottlenecks. You formerly could use rewards for ranking well or playing a lot to make purchases in the in game store, but most of that is now divided up into multiple stores with multiple currencies. Gimmicky insta win mechanics have been woven in to new purchase bundles, and you can no longer use one play mode to help catch up with rewards in another. Can it be fun, sure at times. But watching the way they have been steering it over the recent years shows where their priorities are. Quite disappointing tbh. Its like they want an independent business out of every independent game mode. Really stupid and not at all synergetic or encouraging for players to play all the games available.

The title says it all you wont win if you dont pay.

We want our Deathstalker Rexxar back. You guys keep getting worse and worse. We still want all our cards back. And battlegrounds is getting dumb. Gonna be junked soon. 1 star.

Dont close the game down. Updates in the middle of games Freezes and costs star. With no compensation.

To the managers, CEO, and other employees.. Obviously you are incapable of reading the reviews we have written about hearthstone, if you did take the time to read the reviews you would see why this game is a 3.9 out of 5. SMH. If we owned this company Id fire every employee who was responsible reading the reviews of gamers. In the end, we have spoken to which no action whatsoever has been taken to improve what used to be an absolute amazing game. Now the game is strictly pay to play/win, try to say something different and all we have to say is read the other comments/reviews on this game. The only thing the company is doing is making it live up to the 3.9 stars, great job team for doing nothing to strive for 5.0 stars, GREAT JOB us personally, we would listen to the gamers, because without us playing and reviewing games, your company is nothing more than a fart in the wind.

We’ve been playing this game since beta, and its frustrating to see how terrible its gotten. Its always has the normal problems, battery drain due to inefficient anti-cheat, terrible networking (dont try to play while moving). The latest breach of trust is that most players you encounter are just blizzard bots. They have two-word names, use all mana, and play cards instantly. Im out, these decisions are terrible, Im not playing a game against robots,

Overall it is a fun game. While there is in game purchases it doesnt give out major advantages so you can easily play for free. We have been playing for a while and we like the wild game mode best, but If you are just starting stick with standard. The people who play wild have been playing for a while and have a massive collection of good cards that they put in there deck. If you are starting out you should not try wild because people will absolutely destroy you.

Its a grindy game and the learning curve gets steep. However its extremely addictive and part of the fun. Getting cards to build good decks can take a very long time since the game isnt exactly generous with giving away card packs. But strategy, knowledge, and skill play a huge part in winning games. Some cards are broken but they typically get fixed or phased out of the meta. Theres a game mode called battlegrounds which we spend most of our time playing. Its a completely different game and everything has access to the same cards so in no way p2p. Hearthstone is easily in the top 3 card games.

Hearthstone is by far the greatest card game app available. Some people complain about it being pay to win but its so not. You can disenchant cards you dont want to make ones that you do. Plus there are SO many different ways to play with modes like arena tavern brawl and standard which is broken down into several categories to fit your play preferences. Plus if you are a fan on the Warcraft universe, this app expands on that lore with great imagery such as the streets of Gadgetzan expansion which let you imagine the city from Wow as a huge dessert metropolis like Reno or Las Vegas.

Lots of stuff to do and still fun and quick.

A multiplayer/competitive game you can play from your phone; which is great if you are a long time and experienced player. We think where new players struggle is the at steep learning curve and lack of a collection of cards. With time, both of these become less of a problem. But we could see it being a bit difficult to get into. Money can be spent in order to buy more card packs, but what cards you get are based on chance. The game has made it a lot easier to require gold, to buy packs, but also allows you to pay modes like Arena where your card collection doesnt matter at all, and depending how good you do, the better the rewards. This game is a big investment of time, and at times money(depending on how serious you are). But we feel as though it is worth it for the endless amount of replayability.

Like all great strategic card games, the strong cards are not free but there are ways to get them in booster packs. We are seeing complaints that you have to pay to play type of thing when in. Reality this game is more than possible to play without paying its just to be competitive like in Yugioh, pokemon, magic and alll other card games like this require you to purchase cards in boosters or full decks. Any complaint about the charging wants a cheaper game and thats just not what this game is for. Its for those who play games like Magic competitively and want something similar to play online. EASILY 5 stars. You will WANT to spend money on the cards, but like allllllll other card games its cost money to soup up your deck.

The only reason we still play this game is battlegrounds and it just keeps getting better. Best update yet.

We love the graphics and how the game is set up, but we think we should get an award for every day we log in, or timed challenges to het certain prizes.

Hearthstone itself is relatively fun but costs a lot of money in our opinion, but Battlegrounds is fully free always changing and SO FUN !

We’ve been playing for many years off and on and have been able to have fun playing but it does require a lot of hours to keep up without paying too much. One of our favorite games.

Been playing this game since our lil brother was 5 -7 years old hes 16 now still love this game !!

Amazing game. HEARTSTONE has many things to offer. Also HEARTSTONE made it easy to win our first battle grounds. If anyone is reading this, God bless you and have a nice day.

Dont let some of these reviews fool you. This game is not p2w. You can pay to receive packs but they can be earned as well. No card on this game is exclusive. Sometimes RNG is involved at the beginning of your matches, but thats what makes it fun. Its rewarding when you build a successful deck and win. Idk what people are wanting but if they want a game you win left and right then dont play a game that takes practice we suppose. Theyre mad because they probably lost a few matches and decided its p2w.

Great game- takes a while to learn the different strategies.

This game has hooked us and is fun to build decks, not as good as Magic, but it can be relatively fun and you dont have to pay money to build a good deck.

If you have some experience with card games this is easily one of the best digital games available.

We’ve been playing this game for years, and it never gets old, and we’ve never paid a cent!! There is an enormous amount of playability and variation, you can never run out or do it all. People who are complaining about needing to spend money are just feeling like theyre missing out by not having the most spectacular cards. So buy them if you want! But the system matches you with appropriate players, so you never end up being out powered, and its far from boring with hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of cars to choose from and many more coming out all the time. The whole thing is about being creative with how you make your deck and you dont need the most overpowering cards to do that, in fact its basically laziness if you want to win that way. This game is fantastic and super deep. Our only complaint is that one of the heroes – The Lich King – is better than all the rest, so lots of people play it and it feels totally unfair and again like theyre being lazy and almost like theyre cheating. We never play that character and love it when we wipe the floor with it, which we do frequently with our finely assembled decks.

We never write reviews. However, we think this is the least we can do after playing this game for the last 8 years without spending even a single penny on it. This yugioh-like game brings the is loads of fun because it is simple and animated. The fun colors and animations give you the same feeling that playing games like candy crush does, while simultaneously introducing strategy and online play so it doesnt feel so random. The games are quick enough to enjoy and the loading times are fast. They do free giveaways frequently, and we simply love this game. Thank you Blizzard for recreating for us as an adult what Pokmon and yugioh were to us as a child.

So first we want to say that we have been playing Hearthstone for about 4-5 years now, so you may say we’ve been around for a while. If youve EVER played ANY card game in your life (Magic, Yugioh, Pokmon, Digimon) then you PAID FOR CARDS. Everyone complaining about buying packs, this isnt the game for you. Stick to candy crush. If you are a real RTS card strategy kinda person, this game will keep you busy and occupied for years. Climbing the ladder into Legend status, mercenaries game mode, the area , solo missions, there is SO much to do that you would have to really be looking for an issue to find one. We have bought packs for $20, and we have bought packs with in-game cash. Its not only extremely possible to play as free-to-play, but if you actually want to have fun we dont really see the issue with dropping $4.99 on some packs of cards. Everyone just soft. 5 Stars.
